This location is small but still offers all of the amenities of the Fresh MXN Food chain restaurant. It's on the East side of Midway right next to a Wendy's. Although this is a chain restaurant it still feels like a genuine San Diego taco shop. Here you can get a California burrito with your choice of carne asada, grilled chicken, achiote, or carnitas. Also unique to the Fresh MXN Food chain is the option to make any order a meal which includes rice, beans, chips, and a drink - starting at $1.79 depending on the type of drink you get. The self serve salsa bar and fountain drink dispenser help you get your meal accessories just the way you like. Indoor and outdoor seating and a restroom.

Chicken Cali
The California burrito with chicken is pretty good. Just short of 5 stars because it didn't seem cooked to order. Service was great and I helped myself to the salsa bar. I tried all 5 and really liked the Ranchera salsa.
Chicken Cali/Buenos diaz burrito
MXN chicken california burrito is my go to when I'm trying to feed the pony and Buenos diaz will help that hangover. Usually food tastes fresh to order, but there has been a few rare times when you can tell that it was not. MXN also offers a free cup of coffee with purchase of any breakfast item purchase. Boom. You just got jammed.
