Mexican Fiesta, aka "The Crackhouse," is a small run down and nearly windowless Taco Shop located in Little Italy. You will know Mexican Fiesta when you see it because it's a small brick shack with a giant painting of two roosters engaged in a cockfight set against the backdrop of numerous luxury highrises that overlook San Diego Bay. It's called "The Crackhouse" for two reasons: (1) the food here is known to be addicting, and (2) after you order and pay (cash only) through a small window that you can barely see into, someone inside the building opens up the dark, rusted iron door just wide enough to stick out a hand holding a bag with your food inside. As soon as you grab the food, the door shuts. Mexican Fiesta offers no seating and it's busiest during lunchtime on the weekdays. With that said, the line moves quickly. The menu is small, but everything is reasonably priced and is very tasty. Since Mexican Fiesta mostly caters to people who work in the city, Saturday is a good time to try this place out for lunch as lines rarely form.
