1. Adding A New Location - Taco Shop or Restaurant & Bar

When adding a new location we encourage you to provide a short description of the taco shop or restaurant you are submitting. This description will vary depending on the category of Mexican food you are adding but here are some things you might want to include:

  • Atmosphere - Is this location big or small, clean or dirty, old or new? Is it usually busy or empty?
  • Seating - Is there a lot of seating? Indoor and/or outdoor?
  • Salsa - Tell us about the salsa. Are there multiple kinds? Does this location give you a lot or a little? etc.
  • Beverages - What is the beverage selection?
  • Specials - List any specials for this location such as happy hours or taco Tuesday deals e.g. "Half off fish tacos on Tuesdays".
  • Images - We recommend uploading a picture of the outside, inside, menu, and one dish.

Please remember that adding a new location is not a review. It should only inform others about the services available at a location. See guideline number 3 for help on submitting a review.

2. Adding A New Location - Markets

When adding a Mexican food market we encourage you to add a short description of the location. Here are some suggestions for your summary:

  • Ingredients - Does this location sell the most essential ingredients for your home made Mexican fiesta? Carne asada and other meats? A produce section? Tortillas... etc.
  • Food to go- Does this market also sell burritos, tacos, or other to go items?
  • Beer - Does this market also sell beer/wine or am I going to have to make a second stop?
  • Authenticity- Is this market a true Mexican market or is it a deli that also happens to sell carne asada and tortillas?

Please remember that adding a new location is not a review. It should only inform others about the services available at a location. See guideline number 3 for help on submitting a review.

3. Reviewing A Location

When reviewing a location please refrain from using profanity or addressing specific individuals. Reviews should be about the quality of food and services at the location being reviewed. A good review will offer insight to a location's food and services and will help others make decisions on where and what to eat or drink. Here are a few things to consider including in your review:

  • Service - How was the service? Fast? Slow? Was the staff friendly?
  • Food - How was the dish you ate at this location? Was your burrito big or small? Was the carne asada cooked to perfection or overdone?
  • Salsa - Salsa can make or break a burrito. How was the salsa?
  • Other - Anything else interesting about this location you would like to include e.g. "This taco shop has free chips and they are cooked here fresh every day!"
