El Patron is one of the few Taco Shops located in Scripps Ranch right on the border of Scripps Ranch and Poway. El Patron offers many different types of daily specials and combos, and many of them are very competitively priced. El Patron is also known for it's house made special salsas, available at the salsa bar. Most of the menu items and El Patron are good values, the tacos and meat are well seasoned and usually have just a small amount of fat. Carnitas here is shredded and sometimes is a little fatty. Parking is ample, but there is no drive-thru, and the restaurant can get crowded during lunch and dinner rushes.
