Jose's Taco is known for it's Daily Special's and the "Jose's Special Burrito." The Daily Special changes each day of the week, includes a small drink, and is always priced at $6.25. On Monday the Daily Special is usually two carnitas tacos, rice, beans, and drink. On Tuesday the Daily Special is usually a shredded chicken taco, a cheese enchilada, rice, beans, and a drink. The Thursday Daily Special is usually 2 pollo asada tacos, rice, beans, and a drink, and comes highly recommended.
The other great deal Jose's Taco offers is the "Jose's Special Burrito," which is $6.00 and it HUGE. It's known as the "pillow case" due to its size and includes rice, beans, lettuce, sour cream, cheese, and the choice of shredded beef or shredded chicken.
Lastly, Jose's caters to a lunch time rush crowd of people who mostly work at one of the numerous adjacent office buildings, so if you don't want to wait in line for the food arrive at either 11:30 or 1:00 to avoid the rush.

Consistently Good
Prices here are competitive and the daily special's offer really good deals. I frequent Jose's often and can't recall having any bad meals. The pollo asada, carnitas, and shredded chicken are all very lean and high quality. Service is usually quick. One of my favorite Taco Shops in San Diego.
