Sombrero Mexican Food doesn't do anything great, but it also doesn't suck at anything either. Sombrero Mexican Food is a chain found throughout San Diego, and the menu is standard taco shop fare. Most people would probably put Sombrero Mexican Food behind Roberto's, Fresh MXN Food, and Cotixan. This particular location does not have a drive-thru and isn't open particularly late. This location also gets crowded really fast before, after, and during events at the San Diego Sports Arena. Random fact: the band Blink-182 loves Sombrero Mexican Food (the Carmel Valley location in particular).

It's hard to judge a place off their bean and cheese burrito, but I thought it was pretty good (a little small though) and they have pretty good salsa. I would suggest one of the other taco shops in the area like MXN or It's A Taco shop- both right around the corner.
